YOW Jazz, December 10: Prodigal musicians return - Claire Devlin of Bellbird and Nick Adema

I interview two Ottawa-raised musicians about upcoming performances and discuss with them the impact of Ottawa on their musical development

Nick Adema is a trombone player from Ottawa, now based in Amsterdam. He will be playing at the 10,000 Hours Piano Studio on Friday, December 13 with Maël Idris on piano.

I talked to him about what to expect at the show, as well as some of his influences as a jazz composer and musician.

Claire Devin is coming to Ottawa on December 14 with her group Bellbird, playing at GigSpace. The show is billed as “Jazzin’ the Holidays” and will feature some seasonal music as well as new music that the band has been working on.
