At 79 years old, multi-instrumentalist Daniel Carter is still going strong with three new releases
Daniel Carter plays tenor and alto saxophones, flute, trumpet and clarinet. At 79 years old, he has played with many legends in Free Jazz: Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor, Billy Bang, William Parker, and Hamiet Bluiett, to name a few. We’ll sample three of his recent releases.
We will start with Telepathic Mysteries, vol.2., recorded in 2019 and released in July.

Next up will be Stream of a Dream with Matthew Putnam on piano and Federico Ughi on drums. This performance was recorded live in March 2024 at the Forward Festival in Brooklyn.
We will end the show with a track from Shine Hear, vol. 2, recorded in 2021 and released just last month.
