A preview of the November 6 show at the National Arts Centre of Flat Earth Society Orchestra - a 15-piece band from Belgium, celebrating its 25th year
The Ottawa Jazz Festival is bringing the Belgian group, Flat Earth Society Orchestra to the National Arts Centre on Wednesday, November 6. In this show I will play a selection from a live performance as well as dip into their new album, The One.
The group describes their music as “taking Belgian whimsy to a logical, irresistible extreme, [it] straddles the border between multi-color surrealism and savvy skill with striking ease”. Here’s a clip of them playing at the AMR Music Festival in Geneva in 2021.
