What there wasn’t time for…

In-studio collaborative shows can be a bit challenging with a few moving parts - although always lots of fun! As a result there were two planned tracks that did not get played. Here they are for your listening pleasure.

First up is the Billy Taylor Trio with Johnny Hodges, playing “Night Wind”

And the final track is Coleman Hawkins with “Battle of the Saxes”. Coleman Hawkins and Don Byas on tenor saxophones, Harry Carney on baritone sax, and Tab Smith on alto sax. The order of the sax solos: Smith, Byas, Carney, Hawkins.
